AHJ supports women, civil society actors, and vulnerable communities by fostering inclusive leadership, creative expression, and professional development in the fields of media, human rights, culture, and the environment.
AHJ supports independent initiatives especially women journalists, activists and artists, along with Civil Society Organisations across 11 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa, with field operations in Iraq, Yemen, and Egypt.
OUR PROJECTS
Voix des Femmes Sans Frontières VFSF - Women’s Voices Without Borders initiative supports women journalists and activists from the Middle East, Africa, and France, along with civil society and independent media organisations, through education, advocacy, networking and protection activities.
The Makanati project - My Place in Arabic promotes women’s participation in Iraqi and Yemeni societies through dedicated media content and awareness on gender equality. It also empowers women journalists by enhancing their skills and access to leadership roles.
Voix des Femmes Sans Frontières VFSF - Women’s Voices Without Borders International Forum promotes and develops professional women's voices in journalism by addressing human rights and climate change through a regional dialogue for peace and freedom of expression.
